Brief Introduction:
This extended China Egypt tour showcases not only the most famous sites in these amazing countries, but also some of the lesser viewed sites. This tour has been carefully crafted to show more of these amazing countries and their culture, history, and art for those who have a little more time to truly experience what these countries have to offer. You will sample amazing cuisines and witness dazzling performances which introduce you to China and Egypt’s living cultures. This amazing tour will let you experience these countries in a way that most tours cannot.
Trip Highlights:












Day 01: Arrival/Cairo (D)
Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, your guide will meet you and escort you by private car to your hotel. You will be free to rest and recover from jetlag until your driver picks you up and takes you to your cruise ship for your Nile River Dinner Cruise and traditional Belly Dance Performance.
Day 02: Cairo (B, L)
After breakfast you will be driven to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. In the afternoon you will be driven to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to 5,000 years of art and the treasures of King Tut. You will then visit the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, famous for its brass and copper wares, perfumes, leather, silver, and gold.
Day 03: Luxor (B, L)
Shortly after having breakfast you will be escorted to the Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arriving in Luxor, you will be driven to your hotel. After checking in you will be driven to the Karnak Temple complex, the largest ancient religious complex in the world and famed for its rows of columns. You will then visit the Luxor Temple, a huge temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River. After visiting these stunning temple complexes you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 04: Luxor (B, L)
In the morning you will cross the Nile River on a traditional Egyptian sailboat (Felucca). On amazing day you will visit the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, home to the tombs of many of Egypt’s Pharaohs. You will then be taken to the huge Temple of Hatshepsut, built by Egypt’s only woman Pharaoh, followed by a visit to the Colossi of Memnon.
Day 05: Cairo/Beijing (B)
In the morning you will be escorted to the Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo. You will be free on this day to explore Cairo until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Beijing.
Day 06 Beijing
Upon your arrival at the Beijing airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore China’s capital city on your own.
Day 07 Beijing (B, L, D)
Special Dinner: Peking Roast Duck
In the morning you will visit Beijing’s magnificent Forbidden City, which is the largest palace structure in the world and the place where China’s emperors ruled for over 500 years. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven, where China’s emperors annually went to pray to heaven and for good harvests. In the evening you will be taken out for an incredible Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
Day 08 Beijing / Jinshanlin Great Wall / Beijing (B, L)
After breakfast your guide will meet you and take you to one of the most amazing architectural feats in the world, the majestic Great Wall (Jinshanlin Section). You will hike from the Jinshanlin Section to the Simatai Section. At the end of your hike on the Great Wall you will be driven back to Beijing.
Day 09 Beijing / Xian (B, L)
On this day you will visit the exquisite Summer Palace, the imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. With its perfect design, magnificent buildings, and enchanting landscape, it is the largest and most splendid classical garden in China. You will then be escorted to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arriving in Xian, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out to discover what this amazing city has to offer.
Day 10 Xian (B, L, D)
Special Dinner: Dumpling Banquet
Unique Cultural Performance: Tang Dynasty Show
On this day, you will visit the incredible Terracotta Warriors, which have been guarding China’s first emperor for over 2,000 years. After lunch, you will cycle around the top of Xian's Ancient City Walls, the best preserved ancient city walls in the world, which will offer fantastic views of this ancient city. Complete the day with a savory Dumpling Banquet and the Tang Dynasty show both located at Shaanxi Grand Opera Theatre.
Day 11 Xian / Chongqing / Embarking your ship (B,L)
After breakfast, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a temple which houses sutras brought back from India, and the Hanyang Tombs, imperial tomb of the Han Dynasty, called an “underground treasure house of cultural relics. In the afternoon you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you and escort you to board your Yangtze River Cruise ship.
Day 12Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
In the morning you will have a shore excursion to the architectural marvel Shibaozhai, which is a rocky hill with extremely steep sides. Leaning against the side of the hill is an ancient red nine floor pavilion which provides access to the temple located on the top of the hill.
Day 13 Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will have an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges by smaller vessels. The Lesser Three Gorges is one of the most popular sites along the Yangtze River. It is a series of gorges on the Daning River covered with forests and bamboo groves.
Day 14 Yichang/Shanghai (B, L)
On this morning you will have a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. After lunch you will disembark in Yichang. Upon arriving in Yichang, your guide will meet you and escort you to the airport for your flight to Beijing where you will transfer to your flight to Shanghai. Upon arriving in Shanghai, your guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel.
Day 15 Shanghai (B, L)
Unique Cultural Performance: Acrobatic Show
Your tour in incredible Shanghai will begin with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, arguably the best museum in China, followed by a stroll down the famous Bund and Nanjing Road, the number one shopping street in China. In the afternoon you will visit the magnificent Yu Garden and Yuyuan Market. In the evening you will be stunning by the artistry of Shanghai’s Acrobatic Show.
Day 16 Shanghai/Guilin (B, L)
You will be free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arriving in Guilin, the most picturesque city in China, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or head out into Guilin for a night on the town.
Day 17 Guilin/Yangshuo (B, L)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Zhujiang Pier to start your boat cruise down the picturesque Li River to Yangshuo, which is the highlight of any visit to Guilin and one you will never forget. Along the river, you will be amazed by breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and picturesque pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes. Visitors feel they have stepped into a traditional Chinese painting. After checking in to your hotel in Yangshuo, you will explore the spectacular karst countryside along Jima road by your choice of either bicycle or small electric tour bus.
Day 18 Yangshuo/Guilin (B, L)
In the morning you will be driven back to Guilin. You will then explore the amazing and ancient city of Guilin. You will visit the city’s symbol, Elephant Trunk Hill, and Reed Flute Cave, known as a “Natural Palace of Art” for its bizarre stalagmites, and stalactites. After, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong.
Day 19 Arrive Hong Kong (B, L)
Upon your arrival at Hong Kong, an amazingly vibrant metropolis, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or step out into this fantastic city.
Day 20 Hong Kong (B, L)
On this day you will explore Hong Kong's unique blend of Chinese and Western cultures. Your tour will begin at Victoria Peak, the highest point in Hong Kong with offers stunning views of this vibrant city. You will then visit the floating community of Aberdeen and see people living, working, and shopping on houseboats as they have for centuries. You will then visit Repulse Bay on Hong Kong Island. Repulse Bay is one of Hong Kong’s most luxurious areas featuring gorgeous sandy beaches and fantastic shopping. You will then visit the Wong Tai Sin Temple. This Taoist temple is Hong Kong’s most famous temple.
Day 21 Hong Kong/Departure (B)
You will be free on this day until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
