This tour features some of the most impressive archaeological and cultural sites in the world. In Cairo you will visit the stunning Great Pyramids and Sphinx. In the ancient city of Alexandria, you will wonder at its ancient roman ruins that combine Egyptian and Roman artistic styles. In Beijing, the capital of China you will marvel at the Forbidden City, the last home of China’s Emperors. You will get the chance to hold a panda bear cub in Chengdu, the home of the Giant Panda. Shanghai, an amazing metropolis will enthrall you with its unique culture and bustling nightlife. This tour brings these amazing cultures together for you.
Trip Highlights:








Day 01: Arrival/Cairo (D)
Special Dinner: Nile Dinner Cruise
Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, your guide will meet you and escort you by private car to your hotel to relax until the evening, when your driver will take you to the dock for your Nile Dinner Cruise. You will cruise down the Nile River on a large ship watching the city of Cairo pass by while enjoying a fantastic dinner buffet. After dinner you will be thrilled with a folklore performance followed by belly dancing. After the performances, feel free to go to the upper decks to enjoy the fresh night air and the beautiful city lights. After your cruise your driver will pick you up and take you back to your hotel.
Day 02: Cairo (B, L)
After breakfast you will be driven to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. In the afternoon you will be driven to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to 5,000 years of art and the treasures of King Tut.
Day 03: Cairo/Alexandria/Cairo (B, L)
In the morning your guide will meet you and help you check out of your hotel. You will then be driven 220 kilometers (3 hours) across the Western Desert to the ancient city of Alexandria. Upon arriving, you will be taken to the Montazah Summer Palace and gardens, which was the summer home of Egypt’s Royal Family. In the afternoon you will visit the Qaitbay Fort and Citadel which was constructed in 1480 on the site of the Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will then be taken to the Catacombs of Komel-Shokafa, built during the 2nd century A.D. for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion of Egypt. In the evening, you will be driven back to Cairo where you will board your plane for your flight to Beijing.
Day 04: Cairo/Beijing (B, L)
After breakfast your guide will meet you and take you to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, famous for its brass and copper wares, perfumes, leather, silver, and gold. In the afternoon you will be free to explore Cairo until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Beijing.
Day 05 Beijing
Upon arriving in Beijing your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest or explore China’s capital on your own.
Day 06 Beijing (B, L, D)
Special Dinner: Peking Roast Duck
In the morning you will visit Beijing’s magnificent Forbidden City, which is the largest palace structure in the world and the place where China’s emperors ruled for over 500 years. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven, where China’s emperors annually went to pray to heaven and for good harvests. In the evening you will be taken out for an incredible Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
Day 07 Beijing (B, L)
On this day you will visit one of the most amazing architectural feats in the world, the majestic Great Wall (Badaling Section). After your visit to the Great Wall you will be taken to the Sacred Road, the path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who will serve the emperors of the Ming Dynasty in the afterlife.
Day 08 Beijing/Xian (B, L)
After breakfast, your local guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to Xian, capital of 14 ancient dynasties. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit one of Xian's landmarks, the stunning Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After, you can cycle or take an electric sightseeing car around the top of Xian's Ancient City Walls, the best preserved city wall in China, to get a bird's eye view of this magnificent ancient city.
Day 09 Xian/Chengdu (B, L)
Special Dinner: Szechuan Cuisine (Chengdu)
In the morning you will the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors. In the afternoon you will visit The Great Mosque, which built over 1,200 years ago is one of the largest and oldest mosques in China. You will then visit the surrounding Muslim community before being escorted to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arriving in Chengdu, your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel for a rest before you are taken out for a delicious dinner of Sichuan cuisine at a local restaurant.
Day 10 Chengdu (B, L)
After having breakfast in your hotel you will be driven to visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to get a close-up view of China's beloved giant pandas. The giant panda is known as a living treasure in China and is revered throughout the world for its cute appearance, and love of play. In the afternoon you will visit the Wenshu Temple where you can spend some time relaxing in its tea house enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea while absorbing the special atmosphere of Chengdu You will then be taken to the Jili Old Street to enjoy its splendid architecture and shopping experiences.
Day 11 Chengdu/Shanghai (B, L)
This morning you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan metropolis of Shanghai. Upon arriving in Shanghai your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon you will take a stroll on the historic Bund, known as a museum of architecture, and the famous Nanjing Road, known as the number one shopping street in China, before being taken to the newly opened Shanghai World Financial Center for a breathtaking bird’s eye view of Shanghai and the Bund.
Day 12 Shanghai (B, L)
Unique Cultural Performance: Acrobatic Show
Your tour in incredible Shanghai will begin with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, arguably the best museum in China. In the afternoon you will visit the magnificent Yu Garden, the only remaining classical garden in Shanghai. You will then visit the nearby Yuyuan Market. In the evening you will be stunning by the artistry of Shanghai’s Acrobatic Show.
Day 13 Shanghai/Departure (B)
You will be free on this day until your personal guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
