Dear David,

Thanks for the wonderful holiday. We greatly enjoyed our trip and would like to make further comment. We found your 'tour feedback' sheet to be inadequate for what we wished to convey, but it was a guide.

The pretour service and Information was outstanding. We felt that you kept us well informed and up to date going into the journey.

Ground transportation was for the most part excellent. With the exception of Shanghai, the cars were close to new and kept clean. In Beijing and Xi-an the two drivers were of exceptional professional quality.
The driver to Wuhan from the cruise ship was very disappointing but since I know the tour guide from Thomas Cook planned to put in a complaint I don't feel a need to dwell on a sad five and a half hour journey.

Our hotels were good, especially in Beijing and Xi-an. Alexis (who loves her buffet breakfasts) thought these two hotels were worth another visit in years to come.

Our tour guides had individual ideas on guiding. They were all good, in their own way. Kelly, in Beijing, was a delight and we would recommend her as one of the most polite and accommodating guides we have ever had the please to know. Ambrosia, in Xi-an, had a wealth of historical information and presented herself well.

We were unhappy to be taken to factories where produce was pushed upon us. These tours were never on our itineraries, but seemed to be recognised stops for all the tour guides and drivers.
Lutz had requested to go up to the Great Wall early in the day and have some of his walk before the crowd arrived. Due to tours of Chinese stores, and a jade factory we did not get onto the Wall until well into the afternoon. I know that some things are beyond control but it was the low point of our trip.

Our overall rating is 10 out of 10. There are many things we would change for another trip but your guides gave us a solid first introduction to a country we hope to visit again.

Dear Tang Dynasty Travel,

This is a special commendation letter for Fan Qing Lian (Jennifer), tour guide in the city of Xi'an on our stay from 5/20 to 5/22 working for the Hong Wei Bai agency.

We truly enjoyed our stay in each of China's cities that we visited and we also enjoyed each one of our Tour Guides very much as they were very polite, professional and knowledgeable about their cities history, historic sites and present,.

We want to extend a little more to a very special Tour Guide named Fan Qing Lian (Jennifer), from our arrival to Xi'an, she made it her highest priority to make sure that we were properly accommodated and properly rested for our tour

She even went as far as wanting to check our hotel room to make sure that we got the right accommodations, But we felt it was no necessary and her care felt very reassuring to us as travelers, Never had a tour guide taken the interest in making sure that we got the right accommodations in our past travels and this is a very first important step as you know.

I celebrated my 38th birthday in China, in the city of Xi'an, Elaine and I could not have picked a more interesting, beautiful country or city for this to happen.

Elaine needed help in setting up a little birthday surprise for me while attending a dinner/show on our first day in Xi'an, Elaine and Qing Lian planned the rest.

This is the moment that Qing Lian (Jennifer) went out of her way to make it very special for me, while waiting for the dinner/Show to begin; she went out to purchase a birthday cake and a little music box with candles.

She also requested the dinner/show venue to play the traditional Birthday song for me. As you can see, this was a very special moment for me that could have only happened with the help form Qing Lian.

I truly believe that she is an asset to your travelers and a little diamond on the rough. If I owned a travel agency, I would recommend there to all my clients knowing that I have placed their happiness and interest in traveling in good hands, She is extremely knowledgeable about Xi'an history and very efficient at explaining it, She was always kind, with a great personality and interest in getting to know here travelers as much as possible before our departure.

It was truly a pleasure to see the city of Xi'an, meet a wonderful Tour Guide and visit its sites.
Please extend this letter to all in connection with Qing Lian as I will do a follow up on it at a later date.
