Day 01: Arrival/Cairo (D)
Special Dinner: Nile Dinner Cruise
Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, your guide will meet you and escort you by private car to your hotel to relax until the evening, when your driver will take you to the dock for your Nile Dinner Cruise. You will cruise down the Nile River on a large ship watching the city of Cairo pass by while enjoying a fantastic dinner buffet. After dinner you will be thrilled with a folklore performance followed by belly dancing. After the performances, feel free to go to the upper decks to enjoy the fresh night air and the beautiful city lights. After your cruise your driver will pick you up and take you back to your hotel.

Day 02: Cairo/Memphis/Sakkara (B, L)
After breakfast you will be driven to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. You will then be driven to the Sakkara Necropolis home of the famous Step Pyramid, the earliest Egyptian pyramid. After visiting the necropolis, you will be driven to Memphis, the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. You will visit the giant Statue of Ramses II and the 80 ton Alabaster Sphinx. After your day’s adventures you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 03: Cairo/Alexandria/Cairo (B, L)
In the morning your guide will meet you and help you check out of your hotel. You will then be driven 220 kilometers (3 hours) across the Western Desert to the ancient city of Alexandria. Upon arriving, you will be taken to the Montazah Summer Palace and gardens, which was the summer home of Egypt’s Royal Family. In the afternoon you will visit the Qaitbay Fort and Citadel which was constructed in 1480 on the site of the Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will then be taken to the Catacombs of Komel-Shokafa, built during the 2nd century A.D. for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion of Egypt. In the evening, you will be driven back to Cairo.

Day 04: Cairo/Guangzhou (B, L)
After breakfast your guide will meet you and take you to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to 5,000 years of art and the treasures of King Tut. In the afternoon you will be free to explore Cairo until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Guangzhou.

Day 05: Guangzhou/Kunming (B, L)
Upon arriving in Guangzhou you will transfer to your flight to Kunming. When you arrive in Kunming your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 06 Kunming (B, L)
On this day you will visit Kunming's stunning Stone Forest, a bizarre rock formation created over millennia by rain and weather. A must-see! In the afternoon you will be free to explore Kunming on your own.

Day 07 Kunming/Dali (B, L)
After breakfast you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Dali. Upon arriving in Dali, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. You will then take a cruise on the picturesque Erhai Lake, one of the largest lakes in China. Its crystal clear waters are dotted with islands and surrounded by ancient temples. After cruising around the lake you will visit a Bai ethnic minority village, to witness the ancient cultures and traditions that have been passed on for centuries. In the late afternoon you will visit Dali Ancient Town, and its ancient Three Pagodas, which are unique in China and the world.

Day 08 Dali/Lijiang (B, L)
On this day you will be driven to the city of Lijiang without your tour guide (3 hours). Along the way, you will stop by the Zhou Ethnic Minority Village and see their unique process of tie-dying cloth. After arriving in Lijiang, you will be met by your local guide who will escort you to the Lijiang Ancient Town and the Lion Hill located inside the ancient town. The amazing Lijiang Ancient Town is filled with ancient architecture and is a fantastic place to step back in time and witness firsthand what a Chinese town looked like hundreds of years ago.

Day 09 Lijiang (B, L)
You will be driven to the gorgeous Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a snow capped mountain which offers unforgettable views of the surrounding landscape. You will then visit the ancient Baisha Mural Paintings famous for their vivid painting style and the combination of several Chinese religions into. After, you will be driven back to Lijiang where you will visit the Black Dragon Pool, surrounded by temples and ancient trees where the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain can be seen reflected in its crystal clear waters. Located near the pool is the Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture, which will show the amazing Naxi Dongba Culture.

Day 10 Lijiang (B, L)
In the morning you will be driven to the Shigu Town (Stone Drum) to view the stunning First Bend of the Yangtze River and Iron Chain Bridge. After, you will visit the awe inspiring Tiger Leaping Gorge. This amazing gorge is the deepest gorge in the world. In the late afternoon, you will be driven back to Lijiang (2 to 3 hours).

Day 11 Lijiang/Kunming (B, L)
On this day you will be free until your tour guide escorts you to the airport for your flight back to Kunming. Upon arriving in Kunming, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Today you will visit Kunming’s Flower Market to see the beautiful native flora and fauna, followed by a visit to the gorgeous West Hill and its Dragon Gate.

Day 12 Kunming/Chongqing (B, L)
On this day you will be free until your tour guide meets you and escorts you to the Kunming airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon your arrival in Chongqing, the largest city in Southwest China, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or explore the city of Chongqing.

Day 13 Chongqing/Dazu/Embark your ship (B, L)
After breakfast you will be driven to the Dazu Rock Carvings in Dazu County (about 2.5 hours) where you will visit two of its major sections, the Beishan Grottoes and Baoding Grottoes. These stunning grottos are exemplary examples of Buddhist grotto carving. You will then be driven back to Chongqing to board your Yangtze River cruise ship.

Day 14 Yangtze cruise (B, L, D)
In the morning you will have a shore excursion to the architectural marvel Shibaozhai, which is a rocky hill with extremely steep sides. Leaning against the side of the hill is an ancient red nine floor pavilion which provides access to the temple located on the top of the hill.

Day 15 Yangtze cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will have an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges by smaller vessels. The Lesser Three Gorges is one of the most popular sites along the Yangtze River. It is a series of gorges on the Daning River covered with forests and bamboo groves.

Day 16 Yichang / Beijing (B, L)
On this morning you will have a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. After lunch you will disembark in Yichang. Upon arriving in Yichang, your guide will meet you and escort you to the airport for your flight to Beijing where you will transfer to your flight to your next destination.
