This in-depth Beijing tour offers a close-up of the ancient China's capital city. Covered in snow, the Beijing's winter unveils the special charm and elegance of this historical city. Despite visiting the ancient architectural masterpieces such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace, tourists have their chances to discover the real life of the "lǎo běi jīng" (i.e. the local dialect means the people living in Beijing for generations) by visiting the old town Hutongs, where feature the courtyard dwelling compounds and the narrow surrounding alleys and lanes.


Day 1 Arrival / Beijing

Arrival at the capital city of China - Beijing, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 2 Beijing (B, L, SD )
Historic Beijing has long been China's political and cultural center. Today's tour will unfold its grandeur when you go and visit some of Beijing's greatest sights: the massive Tiananmen Square, and then the powerful Forbidden City hidden from public view for over 500 years. Enjoy a famous Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
Day 3 Beijing (B, L)
A walk along the majestic Great Wall stretching about 4000 miles will be one of the highlights and great travel experience for your lifetime, you will have enough time to stroll along this world wonder and contemplate what history left us and how great people can be. Along the way back to the city, stop by at the main Olympic venues -- the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) and the National Aquatics with the nickname of "the Water Cube" for its unique design. Feel free to take some beautiful pictures of these stadiums.

- Chinese Kungfu Show: Kungfu has a long history in Chinese culture. This show is an unique show, it is not only a show of exhibition of Kungfu with fists, feet, swords, and other weapons, but also a show introducing a tale of learning and how a little monk developed to manhood. It is a great show showing the true meaning of Kungfu in Chinese culture.
Day 4 Beijing (B, SL)
On this day, continue your tour to another Beijing's landmark - splendid Temple of Heaven built in 15th century, where you can also enjoy watching people doing morning exercise and some other activities.
Later, we will bring you to Beijing's Hidden Lanes-Hutongs by rickshaw, through the hutongs' teeming maze of alleyways, you will see the old houses and learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens. Visit one of the local people's home where you will chat with local people and learn how to make your own dumplings for lunch. After lunch in local people's home, continue your hutongs tour.
Day 5 Beijing (B, L, )
The tour on this day will bring you to the Empress Dowager's bejeweled Summer Palace where you can enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kunming. And then to the Beijing Zoo, the largest one in China, where there are several examples of China's rarities such as notably pandas and Golden Monkeys.
Day 6 Beijing (B )
Free at your own leisure to explore this old city. Or
Try not to miss our optional tour for today, during this tour, you will visit Lama Temple (Yonghe Lamasery) which is the largest preserved lamasery in Beijing and a Buddhist lamasery of the Yellow Hat sect, a sect that's mainly associated with Tibet. In the afternoon, it is the moment to test your bargaining skill at Xiushui Street, also known as the Silk Street.

Day 7 Beijing / Departure
It is time to say "zai jian" (goodbye) to ancient Beijing. After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
