Day 1: Arrival / Beijing
Transfer via: Flight, arranged on your own
Please don't worry to visit an unfamiliar country like China. On arrival, your private tour guide will meet you and put you at ease with a warm smile and professional service. It will take about an hour from the airport to the downtown hotel. Along the way, your tour guide will give you a brief introduction to Beijing. After settling down at your hotel, enjoy some free time to recover from your journey.

Day 2: Beijing
Depart from your hotel as planned, your tour guide will take you to see Tiananmen Square - the most important landmark of the capital city Beijing, followed by the Forbidden City, which had been the seat of power from 1406 to 1912 for more than five hundred years. Your Forbidden City Heritage tour includes the regular visit of three main palaces on the central axis.
Afterward, visit Jingshan Park and climb the artificial Coal Hill to enjoy the full view of the grand royal building complex of the Forbidden City. Followed by leisure walking tour in the hutongs (about 0.5-1h), including seeing crickets, listening to the stories about cricket-fighting and painting facial makeup at the hutongs (about 30 minutes)

Day 3: Highlights of Beijing
You will visit the famous Great Wall today. To a better experience, you will visit the less crowded Great Wall at Mutianyu, which will take you about 2 hours on road. The Great Wall here is quite steep, you can go up by a cable car and down by a toboggan. On it, you can do some moderate hiking further up to enjoy the majestic landscape. After that, drive back to the city.

Day 4: Beijing / Xi'an
Transfer via: High speed G train, First Class Seat, on TDT arrangement
This morning, you're going to visit the elegant Temple of Heaven where you can see how do local people enrich their daily lives after retirement, and even follow a master to play Chinese Tai Chi with others. In the afternoon, take 5 to 6 hours' high-speed train to Xi'an. Arrive in Xi’an in the early evening, be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an
Today’s highlight is the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. You will have enough time to marvel at the grand array with thousands of lifelike clay soldiers, horses and chariots in life-size. The interesting thing is that you will find that each statue of the soldiers is unique; they're all from the original image of Qin people used to be like. You can even know their different stories when you look at their faces.
Later, drive back to the city. You will visit a local family, communicate with them and learn how to make dumplings and homely dishes. If time permits, you can go to market with the host.

Day 6: Xi'an/ Chengdu

Xi'an is not only about history. Above its history, the daily life of the locals is also very attractive to visitors from all over the world.
This morning, you will visit the 600-year-old Ancient City Wall, explore the narrow bazaar streets in the Muslim Quarter, get into a traditional Chinese folk house and enjoy a shadow puppet show there. By visiting these sites, you will understand the special characters of this region better. In the afternoon, proceed to Chengdu by 4 hours' high-speed train. On arrival, be met and taken to your hotel.

Day 7: Chengdu / Dujiangyan / Chengdu

Today, you will drive out of Chengdu to Dujiangyan Panda Base.
Dujiangyan Panda Base offers volunteer programs that give visitors an opportunity to get closer contact with the cute giant pandas and understand their panda wilderness training program. During the program, participants work with Chinese panda staff to take care of the pandas. Activities include cleaning panda enclosures, preparing panda food, watching films about pandas, visiting the Panda Center of Science and Education, attending panda classes, and planting bamboo and trees. Activities are flexible, and the program can be redesigned according to the pandas' needs, participants' requirements and interests, and other factors.

Day 8: Chengdu / Guilin

After breakfast, your guide and driver will escort you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival, your personal guide in Guilin will pick you up and transfer you to the city. En route, have a detour to the most famed and beautiful Karsts cave in the south of China - Reed Flute Cave.

Day 9: Guilin / Yangshuo
Transfer via: Boat, on TDT arrangement
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is no doubt the highlight of any tour to Guilin. Today, you will experience the 4 hours' Li River Boat from Zhujiang pier to Yangshuo town. The charming landscape along Li River will open your eyes.
After the cruise, be transferred to your hotel, have a short break and then have a bike tour to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful countryside with rice paddies and hills around Yangshuo.
Note: If you are not good at bicycling, it is recommended that you can take the private vehicle.

Day 11: Shanghai
Today's tour starts from Fuxing Park, where you can see the locals enjoy their leisure time, such as dancing, playing cards, playing Taiji and badminton. Later, continue to Bugaoli to see the traditional Stone Gate (Stone Arched Gate). Walk through a food market, you will get to Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market, try some popular dim sum here. By such a tour, you can get an overview understanding of the vibrant, dynamic and complicated urban landscape hidden behind the blazing face of Shanghai.
